"Born in Dublin, Ireland and now living in the Languedoc, South of France,I knew from an early age that I wanted to paint and sculpt. Not academically minded as a young boy my big influence was the natural world. Living in CO. Wicklow was ideal as I could tramp around the fields and ditches finding an amazing world of inspiration in nature. This has and continues to be the most important and influential element in my work. I want my work to be easy on the eye... Simply for people to enjoy!"

Brush Strokes
“Depending on the mood I’m in I just go straight to paint on the canvas. If it’s figurative work I’ll sketch the outline first. I get a great buzz out of experimenting with natural textures such as sand, soil, paper. Heaping layer upon layer and sculpting on the canvas is hugely rewarding”. Fingers, palette knives, brushes and other instruments are used to bring the canvas to life. For sculptures I prefer working with wood or bone following the natural lines created by the elements."
